| Кратка информация: | While working in his pharmacy in Romanshorn, Switzerland, in 1864 the pharmacist Max Zeller developed his „miracle balm“ for the treatment of stomach disorders, based on a monastic formulation. This remedy was the foundation for the successful development of his small pharmacy. The pharmacy in Romanshorn has been developed into a leading specialist in scientifically-based herbal remedies and is still owned by the founding family today. The world market for herbal remedies is only in its infancy. In many countries, phytopharmaceuticals are meeting with increasing acceptance both for the medical prescriptions and self-medication. Zeller identified this trend at an early stage and has benefited from it while making its own contribution to this development. As a medium sized pharmaceutical company, Zeller invests 15% of its sales revenues each year in research, development and quality control in order to develop new, standardised products, to analyse their active ingredients, to document their pharmacological action, their therapeutic efficacy and safety and to guarantee their pharmaceutical quality. Zeller recently made the company´s largest investment with the modernisation of its existing premises and the installation of new production facilities in Romanshorn. With the aim, of bringing the advantages of herbal remedies for the gentle, well-tolerated an inexpensive treatment of mild o moderate severe disorders to the attention of the medical profession in Switzerland, the firm founded Zeller Medical AG in 1997.
